New Windows Emergency Update - Critical
Microsoft released an emergency critical service update for Windows today - this affects all current version of Windows: XP, Windows Server 2000, and Windows Server 2003. Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 are affected to a lesser degree.
It's not often that Microsoft releases an update between it's regular monthly releases, so we need to pay special attention to these updates.
Apparently, the vulnerabilities that this release patches are already being exploited by malicious code in the form of worms and viruses. Therefore, AZNETCO strongly recommends that you update your computer(s) immediately to avoid issues.
If you are a current maintenance client of AZNETCO, your servers have already or are in the process of being updated.
For XP Workstations, please visit http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and select the Express (or Custom) button, then follow the instructions to install and apply the critical updates.
